El 30 de mayo de 2005, el d\u00eda en que sali\u00f3 Don’t Believe the Truth<\/em>, Noel Gallagher repas\u00f3 la lista de temas en XFM. La pista 9 no era suya. Andy Bell escribi\u00f3 Keep the Dream Alive<\/em>. La canta Liam Gallagher. Dura 5:45.<\/p>\n

La demo se grab\u00f3 en Suecia. Noel dijo que se apagaba con un di\u00e1logo de Stardust<\/em>, la pel\u00edcula de 1974 con David Essex, un trozo sobre por qu\u00e9 subes a un escenario y por qu\u00e9 no quieres. Quer\u00eda que ese final cerrara el disco. El que public\u00f3 Big Brother no funciona as\u00ed. Let There Be Love<\/em>, escrita por Noel, es la \u00faltima canci\u00f3n. Keep the Dream Alive<\/em> va dos temas antes. Noel dijo que el estribillo le sonaba a una canci\u00f3n sobre la banda. No fue un single. Los singles del \u00e1lbum fueron Lyla<\/em>, The Importance of Being Idle<\/em> y Let There Be Love<\/em>. Keep the Dream Alive<\/em> se qued\u00f3 como tema de \u00e1lbum, con Liam empujado sobre una subida lenta que no apura los cinco minutos y medio. Una gira entera no lleg\u00f3 a adoptarla de verdad. Una de las pocas versiones filmadas es una sesi\u00f3n de Channel 4 de 2005, rodada alrededor de la salida, con la banda pasando las canciones nuevas ante las c\u00e1maras. El estribillo que Noel hab\u00eda o\u00eddo como una canci\u00f3n sobre Oasis es la parte que queda m\u00e1s alta.<\/p>\n

Don’t Believe the Truth<\/em> lleg\u00f3 al n\u00famero uno en Gran Breta\u00f1a. Bell hab\u00eda entrado en Oasis en 1999, desde Ride, fichado al bajo despu\u00e9s de que se fuera Paul McGuigan. En este disco firma dos canciones. Turn Up the Sun<\/em>, la apertura, se grab\u00f3 en Olympic, en Londres. Keep the Dream Alive<\/em> es la de Los \u00c1ngeles, y la m\u00e1s larga de las dos. Tambi\u00e9n es la que Noel dijo haber fichado a la primera escucha. El di\u00e1logo de la pel\u00edcula que le gustaba en la demo sueca no pas\u00f3 al m\u00e1ster. Lo que qued\u00f3 en el disco es la toma de Capitol: Starkey, Sardy, Liam, y un estribillo que nunca se edit\u00f3 solo.<\/p>\n
