Alan Parsons, el ingeniero, hab\u00eda pedido una cantante. El tema que esperaba en el estudio era de Rick Wright: una secuencia lenta de acordes, sin letra y sin melod\u00eda escrita. Pink Floyd terminaba <em>The Dark Side of the Moon<\/em>. El grupo produjo el disco. Parsons lo grab\u00f3. Harvest lo public\u00f3 en Estados Unidos el 1 de marzo de 1973 y en Gran Breta\u00f1a el 16 de marzo. Torry era cantante de sesi\u00f3n en Londres. Casi no acepta la cita.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">David Gilmour fue quien le habl\u00f3. Pidi\u00f3 algo emocional. Ella empez\u00f3 con los ooh y los yeah de otras sesiones. La banda la par\u00f3. Dijeron que si hubieran querido eso, habr\u00edan llamado a Doris Troy. En marzo compr\u00f3 el \u00e1lbum y encontr\u00f3 su nombre en la portada. El tema cierra la cara A, despu\u00e9s de <em>Time<\/em>. Los acordes de Wright siguen lentos. Su voz sube sin una letra a la que agarrarse. Nick Mason y Roger Waters mantienen un pulso simple debajo. No hay un solo de guitarra como el de <em>Time<\/em>. En 2005 Torry lleg\u00f3 a un acuerdo con la banda, y desde entonces el tema se acredita a Wright y Torry. Ha dicho que le daba verg\u00fcenza c\u00f3mo sonaba, y que le sorprendi\u00f3 poder cantar tan agudo. En otras sesiones sol\u00eda hacer la armon\u00eda grave. Parsons la llam\u00f3 porque estaba libre y era conocida, no porque hubiera una l\u00ednea escrita. El canto que sirve cabe en esa tarde de domingo. Ella misma cort\u00f3 la tercera toma, cuando empezaba a sonar calculada en vez de hecha en el momento.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Los acordes ya estaban en la suite que tocaban en directo antes de que ella entrara, como instrumental de Wright. Lo que el disco conserva es la melod\u00eda que invent\u00f3 en la sala, sin partitura delante. Los remasters posteriores, incluida la edici\u00f3n de 2011 que lleva esta misma grabaci\u00f3n, no sustituyen la voz. Cuando el grupo volvi\u00f3 a tocar el tema en el escenario, otras cantantes hicieron la parte.
