Un arresto en Oxford, luego un sencillo de Sawmills que John Peel se qued\u00f3<\/h3>\n

La historia no es una pose. Gaz Coombes ten\u00eda 15 a\u00f1os en Oxford, pillado con hach\u00eds, y la canci\u00f3n recorre el p\u00e1nico: la polic\u00eda, la comisar\u00eda, su madre entrando. En el disco dura 2 minutos y 17 segundos, lo bastante r\u00e1pido para que el susto y el chiste ocupen los mismos compases. La escribieron Gaz, Danny Goffey y Mick Quinn. Sal\u00edan de The Jennifers, todav\u00eda un tr\u00edo, con la voz de Gaz alta y las guitarras distorsionadas en lugar de limpias para la radio. \u00abFuzz\u00bb es el argot viejo para la polic\u00eda. El t\u00edtulo es el argumento.<\/p>\n

La primera edici\u00f3n es un 7 pulgadas de Backbeat en agosto de 1994, Caught by the Fuzz<\/em> en una cara y Strange Ones<\/em> en la otra, una tirada peque\u00f1a que se agota. Parlophone lo reedita el 17 de octubre de 1994. Llega al n\u00famero 43 en el Reino Unido a finales de ese mes y se queda dos semanas en la lista. John Peel lo coloca en el n\u00famero cinco de su Festive 50 de 1994. La grabaci\u00f3n se hace en Sawmills Studio, en Golant, Cornualles, con Sam Williams y John Cornfield de productores. Williams hab\u00eda ofrecido tiempo de demo despu\u00e9s de o\u00edr los primeros sencillos. Esas cintas de Sawmills son lo que trae a los sellos, antes de un concierto de A&R en el Jericho Tavern de Oxford que cierra el contrato con Parlophone. El v\u00eddeo no recrea el arresto. Dom Hawley y Nic Goffey, como Dom and Nic, ruedan al grupo en Super 8, en el escenario y entre medias. Es su primer videoclip. Un corte estadounidense usa im\u00e1genes de Am\u00e9rica, y esa versi\u00f3n aparece despu\u00e9s en el episodio \u00abSprout\u00bb de Beavis and Butt-Head, en 1996. La canci\u00f3n espera a 2007 para otra vida p\u00fablica, en la banda sonora de Hot Fuzz<\/em>. Nada de eso est\u00e1 dentro de la grabaci\u00f3n de 1994. I Should Coco<\/em> llega el 15 de mayo de 1995 y se pone n\u00famero uno en el Reino Unido. Se convirti\u00f3 en el \u00e1lbum de debut m\u00e1s vendido de Parlophone desde los Beatles.
