Apr\u00e8s Supergrass, une bombe avec une m\u00e8che<\/h3>\n

Le 21 mai 2012, apr\u00e8s la s\u00e9paration de Supergrass, Gaz Coombes sort Here Come The Bombs<\/em> sur son label Hot Fruit Recordings, avec EMI pour le marketing britannique. Il amorce la plupart des titres seul chez lui \u00e0 Wheatley (Oxfordshire), puis passe au studio Templesound de Sam Williams \u00e0 Oxford pour \u00e9crire davantage, enregistrer et mixer. Williams avait produit I Should Coco<\/em> ; ici il co-produit et joue batterie, basse, claviers et th\u00e9r\u00e9mine sur certains titres, pendant que Coombes assure presque tout le reste.<\/p>\n

Le son laisse le bounce britpop pour des grooves plus denses, des guitares satur\u00e9es et des synth\u00e9s. L\u2019ouverture Bombs<\/em> vient en partie d\u2019images t\u00e9l\u00e9vis\u00e9es de conflits ; Coombes parle de plans a\u00e9riens de bombes qui paraissent irr\u00e9els tant qu\u2019on n\u2019imagine pas le sol. Singles et titres forts : Hot Fruit<\/em>, Simulator<\/em>, Break the Silence<\/em>, Whore<\/em>. Le NME note l\u2019album 8\/10. La pochette – casque dessin\u00e9 en bombe \u00e0 m\u00e8che – colle au double sens du titre : chansons comme petites bombes sonores, et bruit de fond d\u2019une d\u00e9cennie de guerres.<\/p>\n

Poss\u00e9der les masters chez Hot Fruit compte : Coombes contr\u00f4le pochette et choix de singles sans comit\u00e9 de major. Les premiers concerts UK (Bush Hall, festivals) pr\u00e9sentent la voix solo sans faire de la nostalgie Supergrass l\u2019accroche principale.<\/p>\n
