Vers quatre heures du matin en juillet 2013, Prince et 3RDEYEGIRL sont dans une pi\u00e8ce de Paisley Park, \u00e0 Chanhassen, et jouent ANOTHERLOVE<\/em> en direct sur bande. Donna Grantis est \u00e0 la guitare rythmique. Elle sait que la fin va \u00eatre un long solo et, dans sa t\u00eate, elle demande le lendemain. Prince lui dit de le faire maintenant. Sur la piste finie, les deux \u00e9changent des phrases de quatre mesures jusqu’\u00e0 ce que le morceau s’arr\u00eate.<\/p>\n

ANOTHERLOVE<\/em> n’est pas un original de Prince. C’est une adaptation d’Another Love<\/em>, \u00e9crit par Alice Smith, Rebecca Jordan et Reginald \u00ab\u00a0Syience\u00a0\u00bb Perry, sorti sur l’album She<\/em> d’Alice Smith en 2013. Prince ajoute un couplet. Le cr\u00e9dit de Plectrumelectrum<\/em> dit que le morceau est adapt\u00e9 de cet original. Le groupe sur la prise est le trio qu’il a mont\u00e9 pour un disque rock: Grantis \u00e0 la guitare, Ida Nielsen \u00e0 la basse, Hannah Ford Welton \u00e0 la batterie, Prince au chant et \u00e0 l’autre guitare. Prince Vault place la prise de base entre la mi-juillet et la fin juillet 2013 \u00e0 Paisley Park. Dr. Funkenberry cite le titre, avec Funknroll<\/em>, le 31 juillet 2013.<\/p>\n

3RDEYEGIRL a commenc\u00e9 en public en janvier, lors d’un petit concert au Dakota Jazz Club de Minneapolis. \u00c0 l’\u00e9t\u00e9, le groupe est sur la tourn\u00e9e Live Out Loud et travaille dans le m\u00eame Studio B o\u00f9 l’album sera enregistr\u00e9. Prince les a trouv\u00e9s \u00e0 sa fa\u00e7on r\u00e9cente. Welton, d\u00e9j\u00e0 dans le groupe, sort Grantis d’une vid\u00e9o YouTube de son trio fusion jouant Stratus<\/em> de Billy Cobham, un morceau d\u00e9j\u00e0 dans le set live de Prince. Grantis, de Mississauga, form\u00e9e \u00e0 McGill, prend un aller simple.<\/p>\n

Je faisais la guitare rythmique et je savais que tout ce long jam de la fin allait \u00eatre un solo \u00e9norme. Prince m’a demand\u00e9 si je voulais enregistrer le solo tout de suite ou le lendemain. J’ai pens\u00e9 que je pr\u00e9f\u00e9rais demain, pour pr\u00e9parer des id\u00e9es. Et il a dit: OK. Plectrumelectrum<\/em> sort le 30 septembre 2014, le m\u00eame jour que l’album solo de Prince, Art Official Age<\/em>. NPG Records et Warner Bros. le partagent, le premier album de Prince de retour chez Warner apr\u00e8s les ann\u00e9es de s\u00e9paration. La discographie officielle en parle comme d’un disque rock pris en direct sur bande, une pause dans le studio num\u00e9rique. Il entre \u00e0 la 8e place du Billboard 200. ANOTHERLOVE<\/em> est la piste neuf et dure 4:15.<\/p>\n

La premi\u00e8re fois que le texte appara\u00eet sur sc\u00e8ne, ce n’est m\u00eame pas le morceau entier. Le 7 ao\u00fbt 2013 \u00e0 Dyrehaven, \u00e0 Skanderborg au Danemark, Prince en glisse un bout dans Nothing Compares 2 U<\/em>. La seule prestation compl\u00e8te connue est le 1er novembre 2014 \u00e0 Saturday Night Live, dans un set allong\u00e9 d’environ huit minutes, plus long que ce que l’\u00e9mission accorde d’habitude \u00e0 un artiste. Warner sort un lyric video en d\u00e9cembre, mont\u00e9 \u00e0 partir de cette \u00e9mission. Le solo du disque est encore celui que Grantis a jou\u00e9 parce que Prince ne voulait pas attendre le matin.<\/p>\n
