Ce que le monde appelle <em>Led Zeppelin IV<\/em> arrive le 8 novembre, chez Atlantic, repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 par quatre symboles et la photo encadr\u00e9e d&rsquo;un homme pli\u00e9 sous un fagot. Robert Plant a trouv\u00e9 cette image dans une brocante. Accroch\u00e9e au mur qui s&rsquo;\u00e9caille d&rsquo;une maison d\u00e9j\u00e0 en d\u00e9molition, elle devient la porte. Pas de logo. Pas de visages souriants. On vous invite \u00e0 \u00e9couter avant de vous inviter \u00e0 appartenir.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La musique a \u00e9t\u00e9 faite l&rsquo;hiver d&rsquo;avant, surtout \u00e0 Headley Grange, une maison de campagne froide dans le Hampshire, le studio mobile des Rolling Stones gar\u00e9 dehors. Jimmy Page produit. Page la construit par sections. Le solo, grav\u00e9 plus tard aux studios Island, ne d\u00e9core pas tant la chanson qu&rsquo;il n&rsquo;ouvre la derni\u00e8re porte. Autour, <em>Going to California<\/em>, <em>Misty Mountain Hop<\/em>, <em>Four Sticks<\/em> : un air acoustique, un shuffle lourd, une partie de batterie jou\u00e9e avec quatre baguettes, deux dans chaque main, ce qui donne son nom \u00e0 la chanson. Le quatri\u00e8me album n&rsquo;est pas une seule humeur. Une jaquette sans titre oblige la rumeur \u00e0 passer par les enceintes. Le disque fait le reste. Il devient l&rsquo;un des albums les plus vendus de l&rsquo;histoire du groupe, et les symboles ne restent pas myst\u00e9rieux longtemps : les fans les nomment, se disputent, et continuent de jouer les morceaux. La protestation marche parce que la musique n&rsquo;a pas besoin de la protestation. Elle serait entr\u00e9e dans la pi\u00e8ce de toute fa\u00e7on.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Jouez la premi\u00e8re face au volume que la maison peut supporter, puis baissez pour les chansons acoustiques et remarquez que les m\u00eames quatre personnes sont dans les deux temps. C&rsquo;est le culte de ce disque, plus que la mythologie. Le fort et le doux ne sont pas deux carri\u00e8res. Ce sont deux portes dans le m\u00eame couloir. Le vieil homme de la pochette continue de marcher sous son fagot.
