Ryuichi Sakamoto – Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence
In 1983 Ryuichi Sakamoto wrote the main theme for Nagisa Oshima’s film Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence: an instrumental built on sampled and acoustic keyboard colours, later paired with David Sylvian’s vocal rewrite Forbidden Colours.
