2015 single, Merryn Jeann vocal: tropical pulse before Panorama
Møme released Aloha featuring Merryn Jeann in 2015 (ISRC points to 18 September 2015), then pushed it again through DDM / Mercury in 2016 around the Aloha EP and his debut album Panorama (November 2016). Jérémy Souillart wrote and produced; Merryn Boller (Merryn Jeann) shares the writing credit and sings the lead. The sound sits in tropical house / chillwave territory: soft electronic drums, warm synth pads, and a relaxed vocal about leaving and greeting.
Souillart was building a French electronic profile with guest singers; Jeann’s voice gives the hook its human centre. The EP also carried Clones, Mirage, Rêve and a Geeks x Vrv remix of Aloha. Radio and summer playlists in Francophone Europe treated the cut as a seasonal record rather than a club weapon. Runtime sits near 3:40 depending on the edit. Souillart’s productions for other guests on Panorama show the same soft-focus electronic writing; Aloha is the cut where Jeann’s melody carries the whole arrangement.
In France the single peaked at number 9 and spent about 80 weeks on the chart. In Belgium’s Wallonia it reached number 1; Switzerland saw a peak around 43. The official video and acoustic versions helped keep the title visible through 2016. Later Møme singles (Hold On, collaborations) never quite matched this Francophone reach. The chronicle follows the 2015-16 original release chain, not later playlist comps. Streaming playlists in 2016 kept returning to the original mix rather than the Geeks x Vrv remix for daytime listening.
Aloha became Møme’s door into French and Belgian charts: peak 9 in France, number 1 in Wallonia.
(Chart summary, SNEP / Ultratop, 2015-16)

Mercury’s push tied the song to summer compilations and to Panorama, where it sits as the door most listeners used. For English-speaking playlists the track often appears without the French chart story; the numbers in FR and BE tell why it mattered at home.
Hear the 2015/16 Møme feat. Merryn Jeann original before remixes. Soft beat, Jeann’s vocal, and the Panorama-era release are the starting point.

Read this, then put Aloha on loud. That was the move. I told my coworker and they shrugged. Their loss. I am biased and fine with it.

First time I heard Aloha was on a burned CD. Still got the scratches in my head. Sharing this in the group chat. Expect chaos.

solid chronicle. I forgot how sharp Møme sounded on this one. Replay button abused.

the production notes here made me replay Aloha twice. Nice catch. Also the comments section on old forums was wild about this.

Bass line on Aloha is the whole argument. Rest is decoration.
